An order is a request, not a contract, until we confirm it. We confirm by email or WhatsApp with the item, the final price and the delivery date. We may decline an order if the item is out of stock, the delivery address is outside our courier network, or the price shown was clearly incorrect.<\/p>

3. Prices and payment<\/h2>

• All prices are in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) and include applicable taxes.<\/li>
• Delivery charges are shown before you confirm and are never added afterwards.<\/li>
• We accept cash on delivery and bank transfer. Payment is due on delivery unless agreed otherwise.<\/li>
• Prices may change at any time, but never after your order is confirmed.<\/li><\/ul>

  4. Price match<\/h2>

  If within 7 days of delivery you find the identical product \u2014 same brand, model and specification, in stock \u2014 advertised for less by another retailer selling in Sri Lanka, email us the link. If it qualifies, we refund the difference by the original payment method. This does not apply to auctions, clearance, bundles, or listings from private individuals.<\/p>

  5. Delivery<\/h2>

  We deliver to all 25 districts. Colombo and suburbs are usually next working day; other districts typically take 2\u20134 working days. Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees, and can be affected by weather, courier delays and public holidays. Someone aged 18 or over must be present to receive and pay for the order.<\/p>

  6. Returns and cancellations<\/h2>

  • You may inspect the item in front of the courier and refuse it at no cost.<\/li>
  • You may return an unused item in its original packaging within 7 days of delivery. We arrange and pay for the pickup.<\/li>
  • For hygiene reasons, opened food-contact items such as water bottles and straws cannot be returned unless faulty.<\/li>
  • Refunds are issued within 7 working days of us receiving the item back.<\/li><\/ul>

    7. Warranty and faulty items<\/h2>

    Appliances and cookware carry a minimum one-year warranty against manufacturing defects unless the listing states otherwise. Tell us within 48 hours if an item arrives damaged, with a photo, and we replace it. Warranty does not cover normal wear, misuse, or damage from cleaning methods the manufacturer advises against.<\/p>

    8. Accounts<\/h2>

    You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you believe someone else has access. We may suspend an account used for fraudulent orders or abuse of our returns policy.<\/p>

    9. Website content<\/h2>

    The text, product photography and layout of this website belong to modernhomelk. You may not copy them for commercial use without our written permission. Product names and brands mentioned belong to their respective owners.<\/p>

    10. Liability<\/h2>

    Our responsibility is limited to the value of the goods you ordered. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost time, lost profit, or consequential damage arising from the use of a product, except where Sri Lankan law does not allow this limitation.<\/p>

    11. Governing law<\/h2>

    These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and the courts of Sri Lanka have jurisdiction over any dispute.<\/p>

    12. Changes to these terms<\/h2>

    We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do.<\/p>
